At 19:30 on May 18, SSDPP held a series of lectures on "Study and Moral Cultivation" in Room 2030 of the Rear Building. Professor Chen Wocong, Deputy Dean of Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at Hong Kong Polytechnic University was invited to give lectures at the event with the theme of Forgotten Victims in Domestic Violence: Problems and Countermeasures. Lectures were delivered in the form of seminar. A total of 15 people attended the event, including masters, doctoral candidates and relevant people outside the campus.

In this lecture, Chen used a lot of empirical research data to show the enormous harm of children's witnessing of domestic violence. He also listed the legal resources at abroad and in Hong Kong that can be used to solve the problems of the children who witnessed domestic violence, compared them with the relevant domestic laws, and discusses with the students how to rescue the children who witnessed domestic violence, how to cure the injuries in children, and how to reduce the risk facing children. In future studies, Chen said, the definition of child abuse can be appropriately expanded to include children's witnessing of domestic violence, and we should work together to create a brighter future for children.

In the interaction, the students asked questions about what they could not understand well in the lecture and Teacher Chen patiently explained and answered their questions. The students said that they will make propagandas on the harm of domestic violence whenever they have the opportunity, aiming to improve people's understanding of the harm of domestic violence and protect children indirectly.
After the lecture, the students consulted Teacher Chen separately and took a group photo with him.
