Yijia Social Workers Office of SSDPP Successfully Carries out the Activity of "World Social Work Day 2018"

The International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) determined that from 2007 onward, to choose a day of spring every year as the "World Social Work Day", the purpose of which is to solve problems for the disadvantaged in the community and to contribute their love, knowledge and skills to the people in need. This year, the theme of the World Social Work Day is "promoting community and environmental sustainability". To this end, Yijia Social Workers Office of SSDPP also designed relevant activities, hoping the teachers and students will have a good understanding of social work, aiming to promote the healthy and orderly development of the school as a community.

In the early stage, we publicized with posters. At 9:30 on March 21, we launched the celebration activity of the Social Work Day on the south side of Qiu Jiduan Gym. A group of social workers in red clothes began to invite students to understand the social workers and participate in the games. The sprout Brown bear led the way for the students and distributed brochures on social work, Yijia Social Workers Office and the World Social Work Day, including the definition of social worker and different work directions of social workers. Yijia Social Workers Office has been dedicated to providing professional social work services for the teachers and students, hoping the students will pay attention to the WeChat public platform by scanning the two-dimensional code on the publicity page and try to take part in the case study, group discussion and workshops. 

In the game, the social workers from Yijia Social Workers Office hope that the two students of unknown grades, gender and age to know each other by completing small task and become friends with the same ambition. Many participants said that this is a new way to make friends with alumni, and they actively took part in the game. The "vitality increasing station" is a challenging activity. There is a KT board with different vitality values on the scene. The participants stand outside the prescribed line and throw five sandbags, and will get a small gift if their total score is more than three. We hope it will become the energy bar of the students and make everyone full of vitality and continue their study and life. 

At least 600 teachers and students took part in the event, promoting mutual contacts and feelings between students, alumni, and between teachers and students, which is in line with the theme of "promoting community sustainability".  Thanks to the teachers and students for your support and attention to this event.
