On April 5, the Fourth Workshop on CFP Capacity Building themed "Gathering at the Ching Ming Festival • Inspirational Energy" was held. CFP student Wang Juan, who was enrolled in 2011, was invited to deliver a speech. As a young mother, Wang came to Beijing one decade ago and is now the deputy head of a town in Chaoyang District. The event received a warm response and a dozen of people attended the meeting, including academic masters, professional masters and off-campus friends.

At the beginning, we lit five candlesticks to jointly pray for deceased loved ones, friends and those who died in the war, plague and disaster. Subsequently, starting from her own experience, with the theme of "growth of the migrant young with Positive Energy in Beijing", Wang Juan introduced how she conducted grassroots public management in the capital and shared her stories in Beijing. She made in-depth analysis of seven pairs of keywords, i.e. "ideal and reality", "learning and faith", "life and work", "public welfare and private interest", "harmony and contradiction", "love and marriage" as well as "friend and enemy". The participants talked about their youth and ideals as well as their views on responsibility.

In the afternoon, the students watched the movie "The Kid" with Leslie Cheung as the starring actor in China Film Archive. The film recalls the social context of Hong Kong under the Asian financial crisis in 1995, reflecting problems in the policies for the adoption of children and community work. In this semester, we will continue to invite students in various fields to share their experience in learning, life and work on the CFP capacity building workshops. The next seminar will be held at the end of April. Please look forward to it!
