Farewell to the hot summer and welcome the cool autumn. On August 24, 2019, Beijing Normal University ceremoniously carried out the 2019 Activity of Alumni's Returning to Campus with the theme of "still young when coming back". The graduates of BNU from 1969-2009 were invited to attend the event. SSDPP provided careful services for the alumni to welcome them back home, sharing their love for BNU and their stories at campus.

At 8 a.m., alumni signed in one after another, and student volunteers gave them commemorative rings, postcards and school cards. The alumni walked on Xingtan Road and the boulevard again after graduation for years. At the lush campus, they looked for the ancient color and fragrance of the teaching buildings, which are still so attractive as ever. Despite many years after their graduation, the alumni are still part of SSDPP. A total of seven alumni came back this time. They found the new changes at the campus and shared their stories over the years with one another. The joy of reunion filled the whole campus.

At 9:30, the teachers, students and alumni gathered together and carried out a vivid activity. In the melodious song of "My Motherland and Me", the alumni conference officially kicked off. At the beginning, a micro film bearing the memory of all alumni brought us to the precious time we spent in Beijing Normal University. President Dong Qi delivered a sincere and interesting speech, expressed a warm welcome to all the alumni, and introduced the outstanding achievements made by Beijing Normal University in recent years. Beijing Normal University shoulders, President Dong Qi said, the responsibility of the times, and alumni are an inseparable part of BNU. In the future, we need to work together with our alumni to make BNU a world-class university. Later, the representatives of the old and new alumni delivered speeches, recounted their indissoluble relationship with their alma mater, and thanked their teachers and friends for their help and company. Finally, the school leaders issued certificates to the contact ambassadors of various classes, and the conference ended successfully in a warm atmosphere.

At 14:30, the forum of alumni was officially held, which was presided over by Teacher Zhang Ranran. Dean of SSDPP Xu Yuebin, General Secretary of Party Tian Donghua, Qu Zhiyong, Wang Xiaohua, Gao Ying, Zhang Weijun, Zhang Yurong, Liang Weihua, Liu Juan and Zhang Qiannan attended the event together with seven alumni.

At the beginning of the conference, a propaganda video introduced the changes and development of SSDPP

in recent years. Dean Xu Yuebin said that it was very difficult for us to meet again. He thanked all the alumni for attending the event and welcomed them to "come back home". Meeting previous teachers and friends, we had a good chat, expressed our gratitude to the teachers and gratitude to the SSDPP staff and volunteers for their careful preparation for the event. The alumni were excited to see the rapid development of SSDPP, and told their stories over the past decade after graduation. Also, they offered advices for the work of alumni. Then, Party Secretary Tian Donghua affirmed the power of education once again. Previous students of BNU, he said, are now playing an important role in their respective position, and the alumni are the wealth of BNU and SSDPP. At the same time, he hoped that the alumni would inherit and carry forward the spirit of SSDPP, work hard and never forget their original intention. At last, we visited the cultural wall of SSDPP. The teachers talked about the development of SSDPP in recent years to the alumni. While walking at the campus, we remembered our stories at BNU, happy to meet again and proud for the development of SSDPP.

Over the past decade, we got older, but we still remember our original intention. It is these young students who have grown into talents in all fields of society. They have drawn a blueprint for BNU, and reminded us of the old stories of SSDPP. Without saying goodbye, we look forward to the next meeting in the near future.
