On December 24, 2023, the "Project Management" Sub-forum of the 2023 annual meeting of China Association for Social Work Education was held at Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College in Zhuhai, Guangdong. Themed on "how to apply project management knowledge and methods to develop the social work profession", the forum focuses on core topics such as "theoretical construction of social work project management", "reflection on experience of social work project management", "study on local practice of social work project management", and "education, training and talent cultivation for social work project management". The event is divided into several parts, including keynote speeches, roundtable dialogues, and parallel forums, etc.. More than 200 university teachers, graduate students and practitioners from all over the country attended the meeting.

Our MSW students Li Zhaoyuan, Guo Jincheng and Lin Junwei were present at the forum. Li Zhaoyuan and Guo Jincheng delivered, on behalf of our team, a speech titled "How can the Accountability Mechanism Improve the Service Performance of Social Work Organizations – A Qualitative Comparative Analysis Study Based on Fuzzy Sets of 20 Cases" at the parallel forum of "Theoretical Construction of Social Work Project Management". Starting from the theory of accountability, this study focuses on how to effectively improve the service performance of social work institutions. Through fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA), it attempts to explore the multiple causal logical relationships between accountability mechanisms and service performance, providing theoretical and practical insights for understanding the construction of accountability mechanisms in social work institutions. The study received recognition from attending experts and scholars, and won the "Excellent Paper Award". The attendees exchanged ideas on the key issues involved in the paper, providing important guidance for further study in near future.
