简介：Among the developed countries, the United States is a typical capitalist society with the most inequality in terms of income and wealth distribution. The social inequality is demonstrated in social class, race /ethnicity, gender, and age. This presentation focuses on how inequality in the U.S. affects old Americans’ income/wealth, their health status, employment and later life. I’ll also discuss how social policy in the U.S. has alleviates social inequality and plays important role in preventing social instability.
